Bulls must be registered or recorded in a recognized breed association.
To qualify for the sale, bulls must be structurally sound, meet or exceed all entrance requirements and pass a breeding soundness exam. SC must be 32 cm at the end of the test. Sale order is determined by the rank of performance (WDA = 1/3 and ADG = 1/3) and the rank of EPDs within each breed (birth, weaning, yearling and milk = 1/3).

Bulls must be registered. Potential carriers of AM, NH or any other genetic defect by ancestors must be tested prior to the sale. Carrier animals won't be eligible for the sale. Interim weights will be collected June 18, July 16 and Aug. 6, with final weights collected Sept. 2-3.
To qualify for the sale, bulls must have a Cal Poly performance index of 100 or more based on yearling weight ratio and ADG ratio, have a 365-day adj. SC of 32 cm, have no reproductive or soundness problems, and be free of any structural unsoundness.

Test Birth Dates On Test Off Test Sale Dates Cancelled Jan. 1-April 30, 2010 Nov. 18, 2010 March 10, 2011 Nominations for the 2010-2011 Southeast Colorado Bull Test were due Oct. 13, 2010. The Text was Cancelled for lack of participation.
Previous tests have been conducted at the Southeast Colorado Research Center, Lamar, Colo. The was a 112-day test usting a high-quality ration for medium gains. Bulls went on test in November and were weighed of test in March for an April sale.

Purebred animals must be registered and composites must be out of registered parents. All Angus and Angus derivatives must be tested for AM status, or a must be accompanyied by a letter from the breed association to indicate they are not a carrier.
Nominations for the Fall 2011 Florida Bull Test were due June 15, 2011, with delivery accepted July 26. Interim weights will be collected Sept. 14, Oct. 12 and Nov. 9.

The Hinds Community College Bull Test is a 112-day feed-based gain performance test conducted annually at the HCC Bull Test Station in Raymond, Miss. Cattlemen in Mississippi and surrounding states consign bulls to the test to gather pertinent information. The facility consists of eight pens, which combined can accommodate approximately 100 bulls. *The HCC Bull Test Sale is hosted in conjunction with the Mississippi BCIA Spring Bull Sale.

The test is conducted at Broken O Ranch Feedlot, west of Simms, Mont. The test index is calculated by using the weaning ratio with a limit of 110, gain index and yearling index divided by 3. The Jackpot index is 25% weaning ratio, 50% gain and 25% yearling ratio. The sale will be at the Western Livestock Auction, Great Falls, Mont.

There are no single consignments to this bull program, and producers often enter 10 or more head. The test measures individual feed efficiency expressed as residual feed intake (RFI), which is the difference between actual and expected feed intake.
The bulls are being fed a ration (NEm=0.68, NEg=0.41) that includes 20% ground mixed hay, 24% wheat midds, 23% soybean hulls, 8% distillers' grains, 4% cottonseed hulls, 4% corn, 10% hominy feed, and 7% miscellaneous ingredients.
