News Update

July 7, 2015

State of the Breed

With just four months left in its fiscal year, the American Angus Association reports strong growth in demand for registered Angus genetics. This week on The Angus Report, Interim CEO and longtime Chief Financial Officer Rich Wilson discusses the business outlook for breeders and what’s next for the member-driven organization.

“The Association as a company, the balance sheet looks very strong,” Wilson said. “If you are looking at the breed itself and how we’re performing, just the sale averages here this past year – bulls have increased 35%, females about 50%. Our growth within the Association is about 6.5% in registrations.”

To hear more from the report, watch this week’s news program online or tune to RFD-TV at 5 p.m. CDT each Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. CDT on Saturday or 7:30 a.m. each Monday morning.
