National Angus Conference & Tour Approaching Fast
June 26, 2007

Information about the 2007 National Angus Conference & Tour is now available at www.nationalangusconference.com.

The web site includes a detailed schedule, speaker biographies and registration information for the conference, which takes place in Peoria, Ill., Aug. 29-31. The event theme, “A Heartland Homecoming,” refers to the conference being located in the state where the American Angus Association got its start 124 years ago.

“The event will be packed with opportunities for Angus breeders to build new relationships, all while hearing from some top industry speakers who will talk about increasing efficiencies and producing a quality product for consumers,” John Crouch, Association executive vice president, says.

Real-time coverage of all of these presentations will be provided by Angus Productions Inc. (API), publisher of the Angus Journal and Angus Beef Bulletin. Presentation summaries, PowerPoints and audio will be added to the conference web site during the event.

Attendees will also tour Peoria agricultural businesses and Angus ranches in the area. Photographs from these tours will be available on the site.

To attend the tours in person, register on the web site for $75 before July 27 or $125 after that date.

“I would encourage anyone who wants to attend this year’s Heartland Homecoming to register early, either online or by clipping the form in the June Angus Journal,” says Shelia Stannard, Association director of communications and events. “Spaces are limited at the Caterpillar tour to the first 220 registrants. Registering by July 27 also saves tour goers $50, so plan accordingly.”

The 2007 National Angus Conference & Tour is made possible by the sponsorship of Purina Mills, LLC, and Alpharma Animal Health.
