Angus Plans Presence at 2007 Cattle Industry Convention

Cattle producers attending the 2007 Cattle Industry Convention & Trade Show later this month will want to stop by booth number 1067 to learn more about the Angus breed.  The American Angus AssociationSM, Angus Productions Inc. (API) and Certified Angus Beef LLC (CAB) staff and directors will be on hand to visit with producers and allied industry partners daily in the Angus booth during the convention, Jan. 31-Feb. 3 at the Gaylord Opryland® Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.

The trade show kicks off Wednesday, Jan. 31, from 6 to 9 p.m. with a welcome reception.  The trade show is open Thursday, Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday, Feb. 2-3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Be sure to stop by the Angus booth to learn the latest about Association programs and the Association’s latest research findings on the fundamental elements to profitability in the beef industry; pick up the award-winning Angus Beef Bulletin; and sample Certified Angus Beef ® product all while visiting with fellow Angus enthusiasts.

Two CAB value-added products will be sampled during the event.  On Thursday, from 1 to 3 p.m., trade show goers will have the opportunity to taste CAB chili, and on Friday, from 10:30 to 12:30, CAB short ribs will be available.

Another addition to this year’s Angus booth is a touch screen trivia game where you can test your Angus knowledge in a brief computerized quiz.  Also, the Angus folks will be serving fresh coffee each morning.

API will provide coverage from the Cattle Industry Convention daily, and you can see highlights at www.4cattlemen.com.  The convention features the joint and individual meetings of five industry organizations — the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board (CBB), the American National CattleWomen Inc. (ANCW), Cattle-Fax and the National Cattlemen’s Foundation (NCF).

The American Angus Association, with headquarters in Saint Joseph. Mo., provides programs and services to more that 34,000 members and thousands of commercial cattle producers.  Its entities include Angus Productions Inc. and Certified Angus Beef LLC, both wholly owned subsidiaries, and the Angus Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that supports education, youth and research.
