Convention Approaches, Coverage Available Online
Jan. 17, 2006

The 2006 Cattle Industry Annual Convention and Trade Show, scheduled for Feb. 1-4 in Denver, Colo., is quickly approaching. Don’t miss your opportunity to participate in the largest U.S. cattlemen’s meeting of its kind!

Angus Productions Inc. (API) will again provide online coverage of the event at www.4cattlemen.com, including synopses of the popular Cattlemen’s College®, sponsored by Pfizer; summaries of committee and subcommittee meetings; and coverage of award winners and trade show highlights.

Themed “Cowboy Up!” the convention will feature joint and individual meetings by five industry organizations, including the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board (CBB), the American National CattleWomen Inc. (ANCW), Cattle-Fax and the National Cattlemen’s Foundation (NCF).

The Cattlemen’s College will help kick off the convention, with a full day of educational programming targeted toward today’s producer. This year’s college, which will be at the National Western Complex, will have a new look. The program is a more hands-on, demonstration-type venue, focused on cattle handling, animal identification (ID) and other topics.

In addition, more than 250 exhibitors are expected to participate in the largest beef cattle industry trade show in the country. Exhibitors at the NCBA Trade Show will represent animal health and animal ID products; farm and livestock equipment; feed, fencing, finance, seed and pest control items; beef industry publications, and much more.

Visit the online schedule for a full rundown of general sessions, industry forums, regional caucuses, council meetings, subcommittee and committee meetings, the CBB meeting, and the NCBA Board of Directors meeting. The business portion of the convention will conclude Saturday with the NCBA Annual Membership Meeting, where decisions are made for the future direction of the industry.
