Brand Builders Seminar Approaching

Sept. 22, 2005 — Certified Angus Beef LLC (CAB) invites American Angus Association members to a branding. The Brand Builders seminar, set for Oct. 27-28 at the CAB office in Wooster, Ohio, offers a key to Angus seedstock producer profits in today’s dynamic beef industry.

The program will provide insight into the CAB brand and how to use it in creating opportunities for bull-buying customers. Beginning with the food industry, the group will explore the structure of and emerging trends in foodservice and retail and how the CAB program operates within these market segments.

Topics will cover trends in cattle qualifying for the brand and available premiums, as well as research explaining why cattle miss the high-quality target. Summaries of studies validating the value of Angus genetics in high-quality beef production will be shared.

The Angus cattle feeding and commercial cow-calf sectors will be represented with interactive presentations and informal information sharing. Attendees will also acquire tools to help communicate key marketing messages to their customers. Emphasis will be placed on branding concepts and marketing plan development with a structured approach to using a CAB connection in promoting the ranch. These marketing tools available through CAB can enhance your effectiveness in selling high-quality genetics.

Producers have a unique opportunity to harness CAB staff resources and join in this investment in the future of the business. CAB will cover the cost of shuttle transportation, hotel stay, meals and program registration. That leaves only the cost of air travel to Cleveland, Ohio, or Akron, or ground transportation to the Wooster office. To learn more about the program or to register, call CAB Supply Development Director Mark McCully at 1-800-225-2333, Ext. 240, or go online at www.CABpartners.com.
