2005 BIF Conference Site Now Live

Cattlemen can now log on to www.BIFconference.com to preview the schedule of the 2005 Beef Improvement Federation (BIF) annual meeting and research symposium. Themed “Genetics for the Next Generation,” the event will be July 6-9 at the Holiday Inn Grand Montana in Billings.

Activities begin Wednesday with an opening reception at 5 p.m., followed by the National Association of Animal Breeders (NAAB) biennial reproduction symposium, which will focus on getting cows pregnant. The BIF meeting itself will focus on profitability, utilizing indexes, committee meetings, multi-breed evaluations and genomics.

Prior to the conference, use this site to access hotel and registration information, view the meeting schedule, preview the commercial and seedstock tours, review coverage of past conferences, navigate to the BIF Web site and other related sites, and link to Angus Supporters and ranch invitations from Montana Angus breeders.

During the conference we’ll update the site with proceedings, PowerPoint® presentations and overviews of the talks; announcements of the 2005 BIF honorees; and coverage of commercial and seedstock tours. New for this year’s conference, API will provide a live video feed of the general sessions, so log on to the site to watch and listen to the speakers as the event unfolds.

After the conference, API will post additional event highlights and audio files, as well as pertinent follow-up articles.

API is pleased to bring you online coverage of this event, thanks to sponsorship by Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc.
