Beef Industry Leaders to Hold Satellite Town Hall Meeting

Leaders from the Cattlemen's Beef Promotion and Research Board (CBB) and the National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA) will hold a Satellite Town Hall Meeting, July 24, from 8:00-9:30 p.m. Central Standard Time. The broadcast is being conducted in conjunction with the Cattle Industry Summer Conference in Dallas, July 23-26.

Max Armstrong, host of U.S. Farm Report, will moderate the 90-minute Satellite Town Hall Meeting that will air live on RFD-TV. Beef and cattle producers from around the nation can call into a toll-free number provided on-screen to ask questions of and provide input to beef industry leaders. CBB Chairman Andy Tucker, a producer from Rockledge, Fla., and CBB Chief Operating Officer Monte Reese, will answer questions regarding beef checkoff-funded programs, as well as litigation chllenging the existence of the checkoff program. NCBA President Eric Davis, producer from Bruneau, Id., and NCBA Chief Executive Officer Terry Stokes, will field questions on NCBA policy and membership issues, including country-of-origin labeling, animal ID, and proposed changes to NCBA bylaws.

Cattlemen from around the nation may view the live broadcast on the RFD-TV agricultural channel available on:
