OCM to Co-Sponsor 2002 Livestock Price Crisis Meeting in Omaha

OCM, R-CALF USA, and the Nebraska Cattlemen's Association will hold the 2002 Livestock Price Crisis Meeting in Omaha on May 11. The meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn (near Interstate 80) in Ford Hall. This will be a solution-based discussion. All U.S. cattle and hog producers are invited to attend.

The meeting will provide a forum for producers to address the price crisis and to discuss problems and solutions relating to the following topics:
1. Packer/processor market power;
2. Retail supermarket power; and
3. Futures markets.
